Goalie Coach Training

Join the Minnesota Elite Goalie Coaches to learn more about the goalkeeper position in girls lacrosse. This FREE event is open to all coaches - registration is required.

This coaches clinic will focus on helping the area’s goalie and field coaches to get the most out of their goalie in practices and in games. It will help you involve your goalies during the entire practice and make them ready for the biggest game. Topics covered will be goalie stance, stick and hand positioning, the step, moving your hands with your feet, communication, emotional re-sets, understanding angles, improving foot and hand speed, long-pass form, improving clear percentages and helping your goalie lead the defense and the team to success. The clinic will include both a classroom and on-field portion with live goalies to bring the content together for all attendees. Each coach will leave with a goalie drill book. This is open to all coaches - from parent youth coaches, to varsity head coaches - Please register for this FREE event!

Meet the Instructors

Scott Cater

Scott played collegiately at University of Minnesota-Duluth where he received multiple awards as a goalie. Currently, he coaches the Boys' Varsity Team at Bloomington Jefferson High School and C3 Youth Lacrosse.

Brooke Jones

Brooke is an Edina High School product and won Minnesota's Ms. Lacrosse Goalie in 2011. She continued her lacrosse career at Northwestern where she won a NCAA Division I National Championship in 2012. Currently, she is Eden Prairie's Varsity Assistant Coach.

Sarah Tilbor

Sarah originates from Simsbury, CT.  She played collegiately at Washington and Lee University in Virginia. Prior to moving to Minnesota, she coached for Capital Lacrosse Club in Washington DC. Currently, she is Edina High School's Varsity Assistant Coach.
